Helping Abused Pets

July 6, 2015

Frankie is healing exceptionally well and is in great hands with the staff of MVC who are taking turns fostering him throughout his recovery.  The Madera Animal Shelter will be handling his adoption to a new loving family.  Thank you to everyone for your support and donations.

Frankie a 12 week old poodle mix was brought to Madera Veterinary Center by the Madera Animal Shelter as a victim of animal abuse.  A rubber band was wrapped three times around his muzzle and it was so tight and had been there so long that it became embedded in his jawbone.  The MVC doctors and staff sprang into action working to address Frankie's wounds and he under went surgery to repair the skin around his muzzle.  A horrible case of abuse, but the MVC doctors and staff were glad to be a part of Frankie's treatment and recovery.
