Boarding Brochure

Boarding is an important service to our clients.  It allows them the peace of mind to enjoy themselves while away from home, knowing that their animal is lovingly cared for by our knowledgeable staff in a safe environment.

Reservations are required for boarding. We have separate boarding areas for cats and dogs, and large runs where bigger dogs can feel more comfortable. Pets can be dropped off or picked up during regular business hours.

For the safety of all animals, we require all boarded dogs to be current and up to date on Rabies, Distemper/Adenovirus/Parvovirus (DAP) and Bordetella/Parainfluenza vaccines and intestinal parasite control. Cats must be current on Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis/Calicivirus/Panleukopenia (FVRCP) and Rabies vaccines. If we are not your regular veterinary provider and your pet is current on his/her vaccinations, proof of vaccination will be required. We also can call your regular veterinarian for proof of vaccination, but this would be more convenient if it were accomplished in advance of your boarding appointment.  In addition, all boarding dogs and cats are required to be free of external parasites.  If your pet is found to have fleas, ticks, ear mites, or other parasites upon arrival, an external parasite preventative will be administered at an additional expense. If a medical condition arises during your pet’s stay, you will be contacted by the veterinarian on duty (please leave us all available contact information) and your pet will be treated appropriately, likely incurring additional expense.

To make your pet’s stay with us less stressful, we encourage you to bring his/her toys, bedding, or anything that will remind them of home.  Please make sure these items are washable and clearly labeled with your pet’s name.  Dogs are walked outside three times daily in our exercise yard. Both dog and cat cages/runs are cleaned a minimum of twice daily (or more frequently as needed). We also provide your pet with a premium diet during their stay. We feed our boarding pet’s Science Diet and Hills Prescription Diets. If your pet is on a special diet, or you do not wish to change his/her feeding habits, please bring enough food for the entire stay. If your pet is on any medication we recommend that you bring it in you so it can be administered according to the recommended schedule (additional charges apply).

We also offer a “TLC Package” for your pet.  This package includes extra outside playtime, daily brushing and a bath and brush prior to going home.  Pets must stay a minimum of three nights to qualify for the TLC package.

Before your pet is allowed to stay with us, we will ask you to fill out and sign a boarding agreement/release form.

Kelsey's Corner

Watch for Kelsey's Corner in the Madera Tribune. Kelsey, our hospital dog, will be answering veterinary questions and concerns from the community with just a little help from her mom, Dr. Kristin Polci-Moger.
